You can’t have a relationship if the patient is so apprehensive that they cannot think clearly or rationally due to fear. Sedation modalities are wonderful in that they allow for the patient to have the dental treatment they need in a manner consistent with their wants and needs. Then, you can build a better relationship after the major problems are solved/treated.
